Fearless Records, an independent record label in Huntington Beach, is hiring interns for the fall semester. We are looking for people who are… Energetic and reliable Interested in the music business and/or entertainment industry Hardworking, dedicated and self motivated We will have internships available in the following areas: • Tour Marketing • Publicity (Please include some writing samples and/or press releases, school assignments ok) • New Media (Viral Marketing, Mobile Marketing, Online Promotions) • Content Management • General Marketing You must be able to work 2 or 3 days a week (9-5:30pm), unless specified, in Huntington Beach, California and be at least 16 years old. The Fall Internship goes from September until the second week of December. You must be able to commit to this time frame in order to be considered. If your school schedule differs from this time frame, we are willing to work around your schedule. Please still apply, we will try to work something out. Fearless Records, established in 1994, has a number of successful bands on the rise and has been home to greats such as Plain White T's, Sugarcult, The Maine, Mayday Parade, The Aquabats, and At The Drive-In. Fearless Records is also home to the "Punk Goes Series," which is one of the top themed compilation series available. The unique attributes that Fearless Records is best known for is their broad band roster embracing a variety of genres off the music spectrum. On the heavier side of the roster there is Alesana, A Skylit Drive, Blessthefall, Motionless in White, and The Word Alive. Looking for more of an electronia-punk sound, Breathe Carolina is also one of the bands on the roster. On the pop punk side, Fearless has developed Every Avenue, Eye Alaska, and Artist vs Poet. Another genre on the label is the rock-party jams of Let’s Get It. Fearless Records’ newest addition to its eclectic family include: Go Radio, For All Those Sleeping, and Amely. Fearless plays a huge part on the success of these bands. These last few months have been really productive and it will continue throughout your semester. Therefore, be prepared for a semester full of fun and learning! NYC INDEPENDENT R'N'R VINYL DJ/NIGHTLIFE PRODUCTION COMPANY/RECORD LABEL seeking intern. looking for someone willing to work hard while learning more about unusual music from a cultural, economic, and business perspective, all aspects of nightlife/live music/dj production and promotion, web and p2p marketing, print and web graphics, technical and theoretical dj skills, recording, mixing, remixing, and mastering techniques, and loads of other stuff - both useful and useless. DUTIES include everything from dealing directly with nightclubs, booking agents, publicists, musicians, and djs to digitization of mixes and remixes to organizational tasks such as record organization and music databases to general office tedium such as web site/calendar/mass mail management, travel arrangements, internet research, mail, and email correspondence. this ain't no picnic but overall it'll be fun and you'll learn a lot. YOU must be honest, dependable, intelligent, easy-going, hard-working, good with people, computer-literate (particularly good if you have your own laptop), and a music lover who has a particularly strong affinity for music and music history (particularly both the punk/post-punk 1970s/1980s lineage and the 1960s post-r&b/r&r varieties) and a desire to learn about records and nightlife. We are a Los Angeles based premiere event production and design firm specializing in high-profile entertainment related events such as major award show after-parties, private celebrity parties, exclusive premiere product launches and high-profile fundraising benefits and celebrity weddings. We are also noted for desiging and creating the interiors for some of Los Angeles best-known restaurant and nighclub venues. We're a fast-paced company, with high end clients looking for self-motivated individuals. Confidentiality is critical. We are currently seeking a resourceful and flexible intern interested in design, event production and administration. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in gaining knowledge and exposure to the dynamics of producing special events from the beginning stages of event concept and design, to the on-site décor and production installation, to the tear-down/strike of the event. Duties include: - Providing day-to-day administrative support for office including answering screening and logging calls, faxing, mailing, filing, preparing correspondence, and general organization - Maintaining media lists, calendars and databases - Run office/event errands, deliveries and sometimes lunch for the boss - Researching and sourcing design needs and/or rental items/décor/vendors for various events - Oversee the creation & maintenance of event binders & paperwork - Supporting basic office production needs, including design work and prepping décor - Assist with filing of event, personnel paperwork and other office filing - Assist Producers and Event Coordinators on-site with events, as requested Requirements: Must be computer savvy with excellent communication skills and knowledge of L.A. area. We are launching a Sports Comedy website in September, which will offer originally created, professionally produced video content that combines the intelligence of political satire, the sweeping craze of today’s TMZ-Driven celebrity culture and the hardcore analysis that sports fans expect from ESPN. We are offering you a competitive internship in film production which will look great on your resume. College students and graduates are welcome. For those enrolled in college classes you will receive credit. We are looking for all positions within Film production: Production Assistants, Assistant Producers, Camera crew, Light crew, Make-up Artist, Art directors, etc... Flexibility in time is also a plus. We will be shooting 7-15 scripts a week. Multiple crews will be assembled to work around the clock, 7 days a week. We are looking for a minimum 3 day commitment. Videographer Hire Date: ASAP Hire Status: Fulltime (40 hours per week) Hire Pay Rate: $25-30k Hire Responsibilities: The folks at SparkFun Electronics need to stay in touch with other like-minded geeky brethren, and one of the ways we do this is through videos. We are looking for a videographer with an eye for effective viral video strategies and the knack to create them. The right candidate will be in charge of producing weekly video shorts showcasing our new products and how to use them, capturing fun behind-the-scenes footage of our photo shoots and events, and streaming live video feeds of some of our classes and other shenanigans. SparkFun has an in-house marketing communications department of 5 dedicated individuals, and we need someone who is both capable and eager to juggle the planning, shooting, and editing of video, sound, motion graphics, and live video feeds. We don't pay exceptionally well, and we can't afford to help with relocation, should it be necessary. However, if you get the gig you?ll have quite a bit of creative freedom and ownership in the videos you produce and play an important role on the marketing team. You?ll also have the opportunity to do a bit of traveling throughout the year, bring your dog to work, and challenge any other employee to a game of ping-pong. Help grow our online presence, interact with fans and promote new releases. Learn about the inner workings of an independent record label from a marketing standpoint.
